Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 friends this weekend to do a bit of walking and have a lads catch up. We didn't know what to expect before we arrived. Hazel picked us up from a parking place about 1 1/2 mile down a track. It turned out this place is a hidden gem. Living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Underfloor heating throughout so very snug. Very clean and Hazel and James are amazing hosts who will do anything to make it a great stay. The most amazing views and great for walkers. Thank you

Last year we stayed at Greenlee Cottage and we loved it so much, that this year we returned with friends. The area is simply stunning and Hazel, James and their menagerie are super hosts! The location I do not think can be beaten!

We were looking for an 'out of the way' place to stay for a few nights over half term and found Greenlee Farm to be just what we needed. Hazel and James were so welcoming and helpful both before our arrival answering our questions and during our stay. The underfloor heating is great and we made use of the wood burner every day. In fact, James was able to supply us with as much wood as we wanted for both the wood burner and the outside fire pit. We walked straight from the cottage to Hadrian's Wall on a nice 10K loop, plus other great walks. Great place to stay and great hosts! We will certainly be back! Thank you.

The best holiday cottage I ever spent time in. Greenlee is a brilliant place to relax and enjoy the silence in your own garden. Comfortable beds, all utilities available and the living room has a lovely woodburner for cold evenings. Perfectly located for long or short hikes. It's a stone's throw from Hadrian's Wall, you can actually see the Sycamore Gap - the views from your cottage are amazing. Hazel and James are lovely hosts; very helpful and attentive - and they know all the good pubs to go for a beer or a meal. I will definitely visit again.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Hazel and James are so friendly, the beds are super comfy and fresh, the sunrise views were delightful and it is not far from the wall or the Twice Brewed pub so the perfect place to go at the end of a long day's walk! Cannot recommend highly enough.

What a place this is, and what superb hosts Hazel and James are. Not only do they pick you up from the local pub to help get to the bunk house, but they go out of their way to help you if you are having problems. I was walking Hadrians wall, and suffering from really bad blisters, Hazel thought nothing of going to Sainsbury's to purchase more blister pads and paracetamol for us, and then, totally unasked, volunteered to drive me and our bags to our next location, to ensure I could continue the walk after a days rest. Can not recommend this property enough, it's spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, in a fabulous location and ran by two of the loveliest people you will ever meet. Will definitely be back.

We recently spent a great week in the holiday cottage. Very clean and warm, with underfloor heating. James and Hazel are lovely hosts, friendly and helpful. There are amazing walks some close to Hadrians Wall and the famous tree used in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. We would most definitely return and cannot recommend the accommodation enough.

Wow!! We have just spent the most fabulous few days at the most idyllic location. The bumpy drive is worth it when you reach the cosy cottage that has views of Hadrian’s Wall, Greenlee Lough and a backdrop of the Kielder Forest. This location is for true lovers of the great outdoors. Perfect for dog walkers, twitchers, hikers and mountain bikers. The cottage is clean, cosy and well equipped if you want to cook, bbq or just chill in front of the log burner or fire pit. The hosts were happy to provide a lift from the main road, information about the local area and help with basic provisions. The local pub is within walking distance (3 miles) and they were happy to provide a ‘take out’ after a long days hiking. We feel like we have found a real gem in the North and have already re-booked in the hope that we see the Northern Lights in November. It has been so refreshing to find hosts that really care about their visitors. Thank you so much.

Recently we were fortunate enough to spend a week in this little piece of heaven. The cottage is well set up and clean and comfortable. James & Hazel couldnt do enough for us to make sure we enjoyed our holiday. Views of the area were spectacular and location ideal for walking.

Wow; what a beautiful location. I had seen a number of images and was aware of Sycamore Gap prior to booking our stay. But nothing could have prepared me for the glorious Sunrise, that greeted us on our first morning. My 19yr old son and I have just spent four nights at Greenlee Farm. James and Hazel were fabulous hosts, from the greeting to the final farewell. They even went to the trouble of making a home cooked pie and providing other essentials (that I need not have toted from Nuneaton!) We stayed in the Holiday Cottage. It was clean, well appointed and so very quiet. The beds are comfortable, the bed linen was fresh and immaculate. The open plan Kitchen and lounge area is great. With perfect, almost unobstructed views to Hadrians Wall. We completed a number of walks from the Cottage, but still felt we’d only scratched the surface of what the surrounding area has to offer. We have every intention of booking again and would recommend staying here to anyone with a love of the British countryside. The number of historic sites and the sheer beauty of the area, make this a must visit for everyone. Please do consider the track linking the Cottage to the single track road is unpaved. I have a sports SUV and was able to traverse it with care, so do not let this be a reason not to visit. Thank you again James and Hazel
